The expansion of Centerstone's Community Engagement Center marks the first project in Columbus, Ind. in which the architect-of-record on the project--Jacquelyn Brice--is a graduate of IU's J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program. A member of the program's founding cohort, which graduated in May 2021, Brice is principal of the design firm EchoWorks.

The grant will fund Pardo's research into the ways a sense of belonging manifests in neighborhoods shaped by the Mexican diaspora.
